Test Centre

Due to 40 years of experence of drying multiple sorts of bio rest, wish waste, municipal sludge, poultry residuals, kelp and waste from rafineries, destilleries and breweries - we have gained knowledge on which technology who is more likely to be preffered when trying to succeed on drying new substances. FTG has facilities for testing on different types of technology or can facilitate testing with cooperate partners and universities.

Vacuum drying of wheat

This week we conducted a successful test of wheat. The actual test drying was carried out at low temperature and with 300 mBar pressure (vacuum). This provides a gentle treatment of the material and preserves the various nutrients as much as possible. Afterwards, the end product is sent for analysis. Further testing will take place through the winter to find the optimal drying process

Disc dryer in test mode

Our disc dryer (for testing) may look a bit outdated, but still provides a formidable benefit of being able to test different substances under varying conditions. Vacuum testing is not a problem.

If the residual can be dried - FTG can do it

Through Design Thinking - FTG make the best effort in drying residuals in order to keep the most of the nutrition intact. In some cases we use vacuum to lower temperature in the process, mantaining protein or nitrogen and other valuable substances for further use.

Variaty of tested materials

A large part of the experience we have in the FTG is related to the operation of various drying plants, and not least test trials on different types of substances. We have experience and data in a variety of different areas such as fish residuals for Human Grade flour and oil, pet food, other animal feed or fish feed, silage for animal feed and BIO diesel, seaweed for tare alginates, sludge for fertilizer, biogas, coal (pyrolysis), mask from breweries / distilleries, animal feed for chicken feed, maize residue for chicken feed and sugar beet process for ingredients for animal feed or ethane / methane / high-grade acids
